Privacy & cookie policy
This policy explains what personal data Strategy Lens (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, why, the legal basis under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), how long we keep it, and the rights you have. We are the data controller for the processing described here.
1. What we collect, and why
| Data | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (page views, interactions, anonymised session replays and heatmaps) | To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it | Consent — loaded only after you accept |
| Strategy Health Check — your answers and scores; optionally your name, email, company and role if you choose to receive your results or be contacted | To return your result and, if you ask, follow up | Consent |
| Newsletter (The Lens) — your email address | To send the newsletter you signed up for | Consent |
| Booking — details you enter when scheduling a call (via Calendly) | To arrange the meeting you requested | Consent / performance of your request |
| Server logs — truncated IP address and browser user-agent | Security and abuse prevention | Legitimate interest |
2. Cookies and similar technologies
We use no analytics or marketing cookies until you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you accept:
- Google Analytics 4 sets measurement cookies (e.g.
_ga,_ga_<id>) to distinguish visitors. - Microsoft Clarity sets cookies (e.g.
_clck,_clsk,CLID) for session replay and heatmaps.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings control on any page. Declining keeps analytics off; the site works the same.
3. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We use a small number of processors who handle data on our behalf:
- Google (Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity) — website analytics.
- Calendly — call scheduling.
- Amazon Web Services — hosting (EU region).
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
4. How long we keep it
- Health Check submissions: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics: per each provider's default retention.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (withdrawing does not affect processing already carried out). You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, email support@strategy-lens.com. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter via the link in any issue, and withdraw analytics consent via Cookie settings.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
